About Us

Gloucestershire Pride photo of parade members carrying the Glos Pride banner.

GayGlos is a voluntary organisation & registered charity in Gloucestershire (England) providing support services to LGBTQ+ people, their family & friends, and to other organisations.

First established in 1989 to provide telephone and face-to-face support, services which began operating the following year, we quickly expanded into Strategic Engagement and providing Training & Education Programmes.

Our Youth Group was launched in 2012. Since then we have become increasingly involved in providing support for those seeking asylum on the grounds of their sexual orientation.

We are funded through:

  • Grants – currently the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for the county & Gloucester City Council

  • Earned Income – delivery of programmes in schools

  • Donations – individual, companies and LGBT+ staff groups

  • Fundraising activities
